5 Top tips for best web content writing

By In Uncategorized On August 2, 2016

There has never been a greater need for high-quality, updated content on the web. Google wants their searchers to find the most relevant and authoritative websites.

If you are a webmaster it cannot be emphasised enough how important it is to incorporate high standard web content writing into your marketing.

As a website copywriter, I give you 5 easy to read tips to get the best possible return from the words on your website:

  1. Blogs

Be a blog writer. Write blogs on topics surrounding your subject and which incorporate your area of expertise, without direct selling. You don’t have to be a professional web content writer to do this.

You can include popular topics in your post and reach out to all kinds of different readers by keeping your content fresh and authoritative.

Search engines favour webmasters who improve user experience by giving free information, tips and guidelines. This is more so if you write about a particular topic about which users are looking for information.

Your online presence will be boosted further if you can get links in to your site from other users or companies, simply from producing blog content writing yourself.

  1. Social media

Load your blogs onto social media and create an opportunity for sharing. Humorous, informative, or distinctive content can create great appeal.

Avoid an obvious sales message or a drab post which is boring and unlikely to be shared. Be creative, stretch your imagination and think of ideas that you can expand into an interesting blog which will impress and be popular. Social media management may also be considered as a help.

  1. Your voice

Develop your own distinctive voice. This can help you gain far more momentum and stir interest than trying to copy someone else’s style. You will sound natural, confident and more convincing too.

  1. Innovative

Being a little bit daring and innovative doesn’t mean being unprofessional. If you can stimulate thought and discussion, you will engage far more people. You can also be more persuasive and encourage people to sign up to newsletters or direct mail campaigns.

  1. Spreading the word

By spreading your blogs and content on social media, you also distribute your company profile, adding further effect.

If you can write a series of blogs about a trending or topical subject, you can hook them into following you, and looking out for more. You can even share blog tips on discussion forums, and opinion platforms, reaching out to others in your profession. You may even get invited to guest blog.

Eventually people will begin contacting you, seeing you as a knowledgeable expert in your field.
